「ドッヂボールの準備してくるね‼︎」

最近、遊びの時間に子ども達はドッヂボールをやっています。

ある日、保育者が活動の片付けをしていると子ども達が「先生、ドッジボールの線引いて～」と言いました。

保育者が「片付けたら園庭に行くからちょっと待って」と言うと、
子ども達は「自分で白線を書いてもいい？」と言いました。それはいつもとは少し違う態度でした。
保育者が「うん、お願い」と言うとラインマーカーを倉庫から運んできて、線を引き始めました。

子ども達はどのようにして引くのか見ていると、保育者いつもするように
先にガイドラインを引く子と白線を引く子に分かれ、線を引き始めました。

いつものコートよりは少し狭い感じもしましたが、子ども達は大満足でした。
保育者がその場にくると「早くチームに分かれよう!」と遊びを始めることができました。

次の日も「ドッヂボールの準備してくるね!自分たちでできるよ!」と子ども達は準備をしに行きました。

その後をついていくと「白い粉は触ってないよ」「準備するだけだよ」と話していました。
白の粉に触ったらいけないというルールも自分たちで守っていました。自分達で準備を進めることでそこでも一仕事終えたような充実感があり気持ちよく遊びを始められているように感じました。

“I’ll get ready for dodgeball!!”

Recently, children are playing dodgeball during playtime.

One day, when the nursery teacher was cleaning up, the children said, “Teacher, draw a dodgeball line.”

I said, “I’ll go to the garden after cleaning up, so wait a minute.”

The children said, “Can I draw the white lines myself?” It was a slightly different attitude than usual.

When I said, “Yes, please,” they brought line markers from the warehouse and started drawing their own lines.

We observed how children make a dodgeball court. Like when I always make a dodgeball court, I started to draw a line, divided into a child who pulls the guidelines first and a child who pulls the white line.

It felt a little narrower than the usual court, but the children were very satisfied.

When I came to the spot, I was able to start the game immediately, saying, “Let’s split up into teams!”

The next day, the children went to get ready, saying, “I’m going to prepare for dodgeball! We can do it ourselves!”

The children obeyed the rule that they shouldn’t touch the white powder, saying, “Don’t touch the white powder,” and “We’re just preparing.” By doing the preparations by ourselves, I felt that I could start playing comfortably with a sense of fulfillment, as if I had finished a job.
